A legacy tarnished by Iraq war

Many of our law makers who voted for the Iraq War are part of our generation and it begs the question; just how did they forget the lessons of Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., and such musical prophets like John Lennon and George Harrison. Were they not paying attention to the speeches and songs of this brave new world?

As boomers, we had a healthy distrust of our government. In speaking out against this war time and time again, we are truly rebels with a cause and we wonder how can our brethren who voted for this war could do so. Were they not paying attention to that golden time of opportunity when we had within our grasp to really change a war ravaged world.

it was way to late after the first bomb was dropped durring "shock and awe" to back out and the greedier our "leaders" (and i use the term loosely) have gotten the worse the situation has gotten for all invoved . i really feel for all those iraqis who now go without because of some idiot in power had some hair brained shceme to make alot of money at their expense about 10 or 15 years ago. it's so awful because there's absolutely no graceful way to bow out. i am so embarassed about our self serving administration. how dare they bust down someone's door, rob their house and say their cause is freedom. nobody over their is free. it's comforting to know that i don't have to be the person to come up with the solution.
